What is robotics engineering?
"A robotics engineer is a behind-the-scenes designer, who is responsible for creating robots and robotic systems that are able to perform duties that humans are either unable or prefer not to complete." In class we build robots with light and touch sensors. And they need to be able to withstand specific obstacles. The robots we build are supposed to be able to stop when needed, Thanks to the touch sensor, and they need to go in a straight line thanks to the light sensor. If our robot does not do what is expected, we tweak and try to fix it so that it will do what's expected of it. This class is all about building and rebuilding until our prototype is correct to our liking, and that it meets it's requirements for a successful robot.
